Everything you need to know about natural vitamin E — from manufacturing process to regulatory compliance, from IU conversion to packaging options.
Natural vitamin E is d-alpha-tocopherol (RRR-form), the most biologically active form of vitamin E, naturally extracted from vegetable oil deodorizer distillate (DOD) — a byproduct of edible oil refining. It is identified by its specific rotation of ≥+24°. Natural vitamin E has approximately twice the bioavailability of synthetic vitamin E (dl-alpha-tocopherol). Worldbestve extracts natural Vitamin E from soybean oil DOD using molecular distillation technology.
Natural vitamin E (d-alpha-tocopherol, RRR-form) has approximately twice the bioavailability of synthetic vitamin E (dl-alpha-tocopherol, all-rac-form). Key differences:
Mixed tocopherols (containing d-alpha, d-beta, d-gamma, and d-delta tocopherols) are primarily used as natural antioxidants in food, pet food, and feed applications. They are approved as food additives in China (GB 2760, CNS 04.016), USA (GRAS), and EU (E306).
Key applications:
Typical usage levels: 0.01%-0.05% in fats and oils. Worldbestve offers 50%, 70%, 80%, 90%, and 95% concentrations.
D-alpha-tocopheryl acetate is the esterified form of natural vitamin E. The acetate group protects the free hydroxyl group, making it more stable against oxidation during storage and processing. After ingestion, it is hydrolyzed in vivo to release active d-alpha-tocopherol.
Applications: Dietary supplements, food fortification (modified milk powder, vegetable oils), pharmaceutical formulations, and stable-form cosmetic products. Worldbestve offers grades from 1100 to 1360 IU/g.
D-alpha-tocopheryl acid succinate is the only solid-form vitamin E derivative, appearing as a white crystalline powder. This makes it ideal for tablet compression and solid dosage form manufacturing.
Applications:
Worldbestve offers 1185 IU/g and 1210 IU/g grades.
Natural vitamin E is extracted from vegetable oil deodorizer distillate (DOD), a byproduct of edible oil refining. The process involves:
The entire process uses physical separation — no chemical synthesis is involved. This is why natural Vitamin E is classified as a natural product.
International Unit (IU) conversion for different forms of vitamin E:
Natural d-alpha-tocopherol has the highest IU per milligram.
Yes. Worldbestve's natural vitamin E products are certified Non-GMO through IP (Identity Preservation) certification. The raw material (soybean oil deodorizer distillate) is sourced from Non-GMO soybeans. This is verified by third-party certification and documented on every Certificate of Analysis (COA).
The Non-GMO IP certification ensures full traceability from raw material to finished product — essential for customers in the EU, Japan, and premium supplement markets.
Worldbestve holds the following certifications:
The company is also recognized as a National High-Tech Enterprise and a Zhejiang Province "Specialized, Fine, Peculiar and Innovative" SME.
The minimum order quantity for Worldbestve's natural vitamin E products is 10kg. For specific products like d-alpha-tocopherol, larger orders are typically shipped in standard drums (20kg or 25kg per drum).
For larger orders, we offer competitive tiered pricing. Please contact our sales team at sales@worldbestve.com for a detailed quotation based on your specific product, grade, and quantity requirements.
Worldbestve uses proprietary PAHs (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons) removal technology to ensure our natural vitamin E products comply with EU standards.
PAHs are potentially harmful compounds that can be present in vegetable oil-derived products. Our purification process specifically removes PAHs to levels well below EU regulatory limits. Every batch is tested by GC-MS and documented on the COA.
This technology was a key breakthrough that made us one of the first Chinese Vitamin E manufacturers to successfully enter the European market — and it remains a key differentiator today.
Worldbestve offers multiple packaging options depending on the product:
Custom packaging can be arranged upon request. All packaging meets international shipping standards.
The shelf life of Worldbestve's natural vitamin E products is 24 months when stored under proper conditions.
Storage requirements: Keep in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Once opened, the product should be used promptly and protected from oxidation.
For tocopheryl acetate and succinate (esterified forms), stability is even higher due to the protected hydroxyl group. Each COA includes the manufacturing date and recommended use-by date.
Natural vitamin E is globally approved:
Yes. Natural vitamin E is approved for use in infant formula worldwide:
Worldbestve's natural tocopherols and d-alpha-tocopheryl acetate are well suited to infant food applications, meeting FCC and EU E306 quality standards for use in infant formula.
Yes. We provide free samples (typically 50–200g depending on the product) for laboratory evaluation and formulation trials. Samples are shipped via express courier (DHL, FedEx, or UPS). Please contact sales@worldbestve.com with your target product, grade, and destination; our team will arrange the sample and the corresponding Certificate of Analysis.
For standard grades and package sizes, typical lead time is 7–15 working days after order confirmation and receipt of deposit. For customized concentration or packaging, or during peak season, lead time may extend to 3–4 weeks. Exact lead time is confirmed on the proforma invoice for each order.
We ship worldwide and commonly trade on FOB, CIF, or CFR terms (Ningbo or Shanghai port). Full container load (FCL) and less-than-container load (LCL) are both supported. All liquid products are packed in UN-certified drums suitable for sea freight; solid products in fiber drums. Dangerous-goods classification is not required for natural tocopherols. MSDS and relevant certificates are provided with every shipment.
Standard terms are T/T 30% deposit in advance and 70% against copy of B/L, or 100% T/T in advance for trial orders. For established customers with a confirmed credit profile, we can discuss L/C at sight or other arrangements. Payment details are stated on the proforma invoice.
Our natural vitamin E products are supplied to the EU market and supported with the documentation required for EU compliance, including REACH correspondence and PAHs testing (well below EU limits). For pre-registration / registration status of specific substances, please contact our sales team — we work with EU customers and their nominated OR (Only Representative) to ensure smooth customs clearance.
Yes. We offer flexible customization: mixed tocopherols can be supplied at 50%–95% concentration; d-alpha-tocopherol at various IU grades; and packaging can be adjusted (drum size, IBC, or customer-specified containers). For food- and feed-grade Vitamin E powder we support both standard and customized IU specifications. Share your specification sheet and we will evaluate feasibility and quote accordingly.
